#GIRLBOSS Sophia Amoruso Is the Most Successful Misfit You Know:

Girlboss!  I just recently watched this Series on Netflix (Binge style of course!).  All of sudden I find myself searching online about Sophia Amoruso.  Do I want to stay home and make money just hanging out in my underwear?  Yes of course!  What? How? When?  What is the answer to reach my ultimate goal?

So I have to think out loud…maybe whoever reads this blog will give me suggestions and keep this motivation alive!

  1. She started this dream when she was 23 years old and she is now 33.  Okay so that gives me 10 years to become a multimillionaire! #ClockStartsTickingNOW
  2. What motivates me every morning when I wake up? (besides the snooze button on my phone to remind me to get up and get ready for work)
  3. Where do I start and what do you want to do?
  4. I ask myself what do you like to do that gives you joy? As they say “Love what you do, and you never have to work a day in your life”
    1. Making Jewelry (I just wished I had more time)
    2. Reading (Motivational stories, self-help, suspense and of course romance…Oh…the occasional TMZ so I know what is really going on in the world!)
    3. Finding a deal
    4. Love to think of marketing ideas
    5. Shopping!  (Online shopping is ideal for me…but returning items are a pet peeve)
    6. Tasting wine based on the labels (Yes, sometimes I judge a bottle of wine by the cover)
    7. I’m a foodie!  (Isn’t everyone?)
    8. Virtual Hoarding (aka Pinterest)
    9. Coloring (it brings out the artist in me..and the kid in me as well)
    10. Drinking Coffee! (It gives me comfort)

So based on this….It appears to me that I will be hanging in the coffee stores in the morning and checking out the wine store in the afternoon only to go home to have a glass of wine and go online to virtually hoard, read TMZ and shop on Amazon.com!

But…I still feel there is hope!  #Girlboss

#2 – Show and Tell is Still Alive!

Baby Blog is still alive and well!  Blog #2 here we go…

Why did I pick Show and Tell 808 as the name that I chose for my baby blog?   When I decided to blog I thought about what theme, topics or issues I may want to share.  Answer was that I had no specific topic!  None whatsoever! As I have random thoughts all day long…how can I possibly stay focused on just a few things????

So it took me back to my grade school days when we use to have show and tell.  You bring something from home that means a lot to you or you just thought it was super cool and you share it with your class.  Well, blogging and having a social media account is some what a virtual show and tell in today’s world.  Of course, some show more than others and some just tell a story…hence, the birth of ShowAndTell808.

Oh…the 808 was because ShowAndTell was already taken so I had pick a different title and whats more obvious than where I am from…the 808 State, Hawaii!!!!!!!

Day 1 – Giving Birth to My First Blog!

Congratulations!  I have just given birth to a brand new baby blog!  NOW WHAT?  Why.  Do.  I.  All of sudden want to start a blog?  Who wants to read what I have to share?  Who the heck even wants to pay attention to what I am thinking?  How do I take care and nurture this blog?  Step 1…treat it as if it was your baby.  Handle with care, learn everyday, nurture and just love it unconditionally!

With this first blog I will just share my plans and ideas of how I want this blog to grow up!  I not only want to share all fun and good things that you see on social media…but, also things that are real!  Sometimes good, sometimes ugly and sometimes just downright questionable…sometimes no words can describe how I feel…all you may get are photos!  Welcome to my reality!

(Mind you…I type as I am actually speaking to you.  Correct punctuation or proper sentences DOES NOT apply – after all, it is a brand new baby blog!)

Should I say a little bit about who I am?  I thought about that…but, decided to wait and let you just learn to know me through my journey!  By the way, my name is M.  : )
